Awareness Programme
 
 
Mrs Putuli Saikia Baruah on behalf of WEFA had successfully conducted the first  awareness programme on Technical Education for girl students of  Jamuguri Adarsha High School on 10th October, 2010. Printed materials regarding different courses available in Engineering Colleges situated in Assam, the way to get into the colleges, fee structure and facilities provided to the students by the colleges including scholarship, were distributed amongst the students. Students were encouraged to go for engineering and technical courses during the counseling session. Headmaster of the school and other teachers also took part in the discussion. At the end the school authority profusely thanked Smti Baruah and WEFA for conducting  the programme

Mrs Putuli Saikia Baruah on behalf of WEFA have donated the materials for electrification of the Namghar of her native village ”Ghiladharia Gaon” along with two other Namghars of nearby villages .namely “Ghahigaon” No 2 and “Dhalaibil Maranaheni” at Jamugurihat in Sonitpur District, Assam. Villagers and elders thanked Smti Baruah and WEFA for providing illumination materials to the Namghars. Smti Baruah’s effort to bring illumination to the Namghars thereby providing comfort  to the village elders was praised by all.
 
     
 

World Environment Day Celebrated

Women Engineer’s Forum of Assam celebrated World Environment Day in a befitting way by undertaking a plantation programme at Assam Engineering College campus on 5th June’ 2010. More than 100 saplings were planted on the day where members of the forum and faculty and staff members of Assam Engineering College were present in large numbers.
